Our most frequent activities are listed here.
All are carried out by volunteers who live in Whiteway or close by.
We welcome helpers from further afield too - and are especially happy to share how we work with people keen to set something up in their own area.
We also have a Whatsapp group where we share events, resources etc - contact us if you’d like to find out more

~Community Tree Nursery
Weekend sessions - For details of upcoming sessions
please contact us
We meet at the tree nursery which is just off Rush Hill for around two hours.
It’s a beautiful site overlooking a wooded valley and set within a cider orchard.
Tasks across the year vary - but may include weeding, watering, planting, harvesting and generally caring for hundreds of small trees on site. We are building compost facilities and water collection. Our focus is native species - we work in partnership with More Trees Banes who run this project.
No knowledge of trees is required and we provide tools.
Please note there is no parking on site.
If you’d like to come along to a session and see if it’s for you then please contact us for details
Overgrown~ Garden Club
Overgrown is an occasional garden club, launched in 2025. Where we are working our way through interlinked themes of climate, water, food, wildlife etc. We have invited speakers to share their ideas with us and we always have free plants and seeds to give away.
We usually meet at Bath City Farm.
Mount Road ~ Planters
We look after the BANES planters on Mount Road outside co-op. This involves planting, watering, refreshing and the occasional tidy-up. We meet every few months on a weekend usually to do this.
